Isle of Mull

Isle of Mull is a Scottish farmhouse cheddar made from unpasteurised cow’s milk at Sgriob-ruadh Farm on the Isle of Mull. It has a bold, tangy, and savoury flavour with fruity, nutty, and boozy notes influenced by the cows’ diet and the nearby Tobermory distillery.

Description

Isle of Mull cheese is generally matured for 12–18 months, developing a firm and crumbly texture as it ages. Thanks to its raw milk production and natural rind, it sometimes displays blue veining, which is a classic sign of traditional farmhouse cheddar. The cheese’s robust taste and full flavour make it a popular addition to cheese boards, pairing especially well with malty ales, robust red and white wines, and other robust beverages
